Saqqara Step Pyramid
Overview
The Saqqara Step Pyramid was one of the first pyramids ever built in Egypt, around 2700 BC. This structure kicked off everything revolving around the Golden Age of Pyramid construction in Ancient Egypt. The ancient pyramid structure was originally built at a height of 62 meters but has been damaged due to time. Despite its age, it’s still in a very impressive condition with visitors from all around the world traveling to see the “first ever pyramid built” all year long.
